Medusa garden

Medusa garden is an immersive installation in which the public is invited to make their way through a dark and dense forest of lianas.

The filaments are made with oxygen masks and tubes woven together and suspended from a metal structure.

The masks are lit with an unearthly light that almost evokes a magical forest , or perhaps a shoal of ancient jellyfish.

In this hybrid space, the masks fail to provide the oxygen necessary for our survival. Paradoxically, the viewer is put on a ventilator and feels a worrying feeling of oppression.
